We are looking for a motivated, proven leader to head our nursing team here at our growing RCVS accredited small animal practice in South Wales.

Our nursing team is at the forefront of our practice and have the opportunity to utilise all their skills.

We are looking for someone who is competent and confident in all nursing duties, including nurse consultations, lab work, in patient care and theatre assistance.

Alongside nursing duties, our Head Nurse would be driven, have first class organisation and communication skills and the ability to delegate where needed.

As Head Nurse you would oversee the nursing team and their continual development. Working with the Head Vet in clinical governance. As a member of out executive team you will meet regularly with our Practice Manager, Head Receptionist and Head Vet in a supportive environment.

You demonstrate excellent performance, a proven track record in customer service, team work and delivering results.

In return we offer you the opportunity to work in a lovely practice with separate VN consulting room; Companion-laser; in house biochem, haematology and endocrinology la.

Competitive salary package including pension, RCVS, and BVNA subs and funded CPD. No out of hours or Bank Holiday work. Saturday mornings on a rota basis.

Veterinary Surgeon – Clinical Director
The Practice
Facilities include, amongst other things, laser, separate digital x-ray room, dental x-ray facility,
ultrasound (doppler), endoscope, orthopaedic surgery and
piped gases and infusion pumps for all
IVFT. A warm and spacious reception creates and inviting atmosphere while the premises is clean
and smart looking with large consulting and surgical rooms.
The Team
An experienced clinical and support team work together to provide quality veterinary Medicine and
surgery.
The 3 vet practice is supported by 6 nursing/support staff and 3 receptionists
This friendly and fun environment makes coming to work enjoyable and fulfilling. Daily operations are overseen
by the Practice Manager.
The team participate in continuous improvement initiatives whilst senior
team members make up the executive team who continually plan the strategic direction of the
business.
Our priority is to provide excellence in veterinary medicine whilst providing value for money to pet
owners. We don’t build a client base, we build client relationships.
YOU
We are seeking an experienced Veterinary Surgeon Clinical Director to assist us in our commitment
to provide our patients with an excellent quality of both clinical and preventative healthcare.
Ideally the successful candidate will fulfil the following criteria:
Technical
At least 3 years’ experience in a small animal practice
Surgical ability incl soft tissue and
basic orthopaedics
Specialist Skills preferred but not essential
Business
Previous experience as a Clinical Director
preferred but not essential
Proven results in achieving budgetary and operational requirements
Proven success in managing a clinical team
Personal
Good oral and written communications skills
Proven proficiency in Computer and PMS systems
Proven record in managing client expectations
