At Animal Doctors we have a dedicated team of Veterinary staff who have over 6 decades of combined experience. Our team are here to help treat your pet and keep both pet and owner at ease.
DIRECTOR

DR JAN KAUFHOLD
Jan graduated as a vet from Ludwig Maximillians University Munich in 1996. The University of Bern awarded him his doctorate for his research into insulin resistance in 1999. The next few years he worked in mixed practices in Wales and New Zealand. He moved to Swansea with his wife Andrea in 2005. In 2011 he opened up Animal Doctors, a small animal veterinary practice in the heart of the community of Clydach.
He has a GP Certificate in Small Animal Practice and enjoys all aspects of first opinion Veterinary Practice with an interest in soft tissue and orthopaedic surgery, as well as cardiology.
Outside of work, he likes exploring the Welsh countryside with his children Julian and Joscelyn, either by foot or bike, so give them a wave when you see them out and about.

DR ANDREA RAUPRICH-KAUFHOLD
Fulfilling her childhood dream, Andrea graduated in 1996 from LMU Munich. In 1999 she was awarded her doctorate by the university of Bern for her research into neonate development. The next few years were taken up by working in practices in Wales and New Zealand.
She has a GP Certificate in Small Animal Surgery.
Now settled in the Swansea Valley with her husband Jan and her 2 children Julian and Joscelyn, she supports the local community in her role as Rotarian.
You will also see her fundraising for the ‘Little Angels’, an orphanage in Ruhija, Uganda that she has been supporting since 2015.

Dr Brita Webb
Brita joined our team in 2023 as a Veterinary surgeon. Brita loves to spend time with her animals and is currently raising three piglets.

Simon was a locum vet for us in 2020 and has since re-joined our team in 2024. Simon has a passion for rugby and loves to go and watch Wales play at the Principality Stadium.

Dr Beatrice Tibu
Beatrice joined our team in 2023 as a Veterinary surgeon. She qualified as a Veterinary Surgeon in 2010, she subsequently took some time away from the profession to raise her family and joined the practice in December 2023.

ANNA TANKARD
Anna joined us in November 2017. She previously worked in the Pembroke area where she was Senior Veterinary Nurse and later progressed to Veterinary Practice Manager. Anna has one daughter and is a keen horse rider.

Gabby joined us in May 2023 and qualified as a Veterinary Nurse in 2019. She enjoys spending her time with her dog Salad and her cat Lenny. When she isn’t with her furry friends, Gabby enjoys staying fit at the gym.

Abigail Morgan
Abi joined us in July 2024 and qualified from Hartpury University in 2024 as a Veterinary Nurse. She enjoys doing marathons and triathlons, mainly running with her dog Maverick. Abi has an interest in surgical cases and aspires to be a surgical nurse.

Naomi joined the team in April 2022 and is living her dream with animals and aspires to become a Veterinary Nurse. In her spare time she loves spending time with her pet tortoise Micheal Angelo.

Celyn Arnold
Celyn has always wanted to work with animal and loves to care for her 4 pets; a leopard gecko called Onyx, two australian kelpies called Max and Lunar, and a mountain pony called Scwbi. She loves going to the gym, and spending time with her friends and family.

Amber joined the team in February 2022 as a receptionist, in January 2024 she moved to support staff. Amber is currently partaking in her Veterinary Care Assistant qualification. In her spare time Amber enjoys designing and creating artwork, and spending time caring for her dachshund Buster and her cat Barney.

Amy joined the team in August 2024. She is currently in her final year of University studying to be a Veterinary Nurse. Amy wanted to become a Veterinary Nurse as she enjoys caring for animals and assisting in their care. In her spare time, Amy loves looking after her new kitten Tash.

Emma Llewelyn
Emma joined the team in December 2014. She was then promoted to Head Receptionist in 2020. She has a degree in Hospitality Management and comes from a background within the hospitality industry where she worked as a receptionist. When she does have spare time, Emma loves spending time with family and friends.

Rosie Hopkins
Rosie joined our receptionist team in March 2023. In June 2024 she was promoted to Deputy Head Receptionist. She has a degree in tourism management, in her spare time she loves travelling to new countries to experience different cultures. In her spare time, she loves to spend it with her family and friends making memories.

Laura Davies
Laura joined our team in November 2023. She has a cat called Gizzi and a dog called Rosie.

Teagan Milton
Teagan joined our reception team in April 2024. She is a big animal lover and has 2 dogs Finn Noodle and Diesel. Teagan has achieved a level 2 diploma in Business Administration.
Receptionist
Sabrina Ventre
Sabrina joined our reception team in November 2024. Sabrina has previously worked within the Veterinary Industry, but took some time away to raise her family. She has 1 Horse called Bonnie and 2 Cats named Eric and Dudu.
Admin Assitant
Gaynor Corben
Gaynor joined our team in August 2024 as an admin assistant. She has a springer spaniel called Seren and they like to go on lots of holidays by the seaside. She also enjoys socialising with friends and taking part in pub quizzes.
